TRAVEL SUBJECT GUIDE
Kingwood College, a college of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District,
offers a one-year Certificate of Competency and a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree.
Degree requirements may also be taken at other NHMCCD colleges.
Some Travel courses are offered at Montgomer College. The Head of the Travel/Tourism Department
is Debbie Adams.
Students are encouraged by faculty and librarians to get to know the library, the Internet,
and the travel literature.
Most travel books will be found in the regular library collections. At Kingwood Library, books which are intrinsically travel have been separated from
the regular collection and put into a TRAVEL AND TOURISM section
located in Room 110. Reference and Circulating books are interfiled.
The collection is small and can be easily browsed for books on
destinations, marketing, conferences and conventions, business
management or law. Use the catalog to locate books in the regular
collection by exact subject or subject keyword.
